Valentines, Pottery & Annie

We've had a really fun week. Monday was fun with a Family Home Evening on Service and then the kids got to open their valentines from their sweet G-Ma's I mean FRIENDS, Trish and Pat.  They love getting mail from them.   Then, I didn't get any pictures of it but,  it snowed about 3-4 inches on Monday night and then it melted on Tuesday (Valentines Day).  The kids had a blast with friends on Tuesday.  They snowboarded and sledded all day  from 7:45am to 3pm  they were wiped out by bedtime.   What a fun valentines day.  Then it was nasty raining on Wednesday and we had some errands to run with Dad.  Dad surprised us girls and dropped us off at the pottery studio for some painting of pottery. We love the owners of P3 Pottery, and were happy to spend some time with them at their studio.  Then Thursday night we had tickets to go see "Annie" at the Landers Theater in Spfd.  It was a great show.  2 of our friends were in it and we enjoyed watching them in their Character. And to my surprise a good friend of mine had tickets to the show too, and we got to chat and catch up a little.  Wonderful seeing you Melissa.

What an eventful week we've had.  It was great we hadn't spent much time with friends for a while and having kids their own age to play with for valentines couldn't have been better.

It's been a long time!!!!

It's been so long since I posted.  We have been very busy of course.  The changes in our lives have been many!  So lets see where to begin.  Last time I posted we were gearing up for Christmas.  Christmas has come and gone and we are already in Feb.  We have only had one day of snow and it wasn't very much and we didn't see it very long, it went away almost as fast as it came down.  lol   We have been very busy with school and church.  It seems like if a day opened up with free time it was filled just as fast with something else to consume us.........  So in order to get life back on track we have slowed everything down.  I was traveling to spfd 3 to 4 times a week and it was getting really old, so I slowed the traveling down and then I was still traveling to spd 1-2 days a week and was still unhappy with how much time I was wasting running everywhere for all sorts of things.   I am finally so excited to say I have slowed down................I haven't drove to spfd at all this week!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Yay for me.  On the sad side I took the girls out of voice and have had to decide what my highest priorities are.  They are not voice lessons and shopping trips,  they are getting my house in order with every needful thing.  Like what you might ask???  Okay I'll tell ya.   I was finding no time to organize school for the kids, no time to get my garden seeds ready and planted, no time to think for my self or read a good book, no time for my own studying.  I was seriously running all the time and not taking the time I needed to do what was REALLY needed in my home!   So here we are we have enjoyed time at home.  I finally got the laundry caught up and the panty cleaned up a bit.  We have enjoyed school time again without being distracted with having to leave in the next hour or so.  We have enjoyed having time to read and go outside to play and run (aka FREE TIME)  I've made dinner and baked bread,  I planted those little pepper seeds and tomato seeds.  My kids have seemed happier and I'm not spending so much on eating out or putting gas in the van.  I can actually feel myself becoming a happier person.

A couple new things here are the 4 goats we are now raising.  We were hoping they would have kids soon but not sure they are even going to.  I guess there is still time, I'm not totally sure they are even bred which makes for a very frustrating time.  I have been very tempted to run them to the vet for ultra sounds so I know if i need to be watching for heat cycles.  I have read reread and reread books and articles and websites, trying to figure out how to take care of goats.  Dennis fixed them some shelter and a we all worked on a fence for them (which we will have to rebuild soon because goats are hard on fences)and they all seem to be happy and healthy.
Here are some pix of them and their cute selves...............................
This is Aunna she is our oldest and largest she is 6 yrs old and is a Nubian Goat
This is my favorite, not sure why but I really like her the best  This is SASSY LADY, she is 2 years old and she is a pure French Alphine Goat.
This is Daisy, she is probabally the prettiest and I'm guessing she is 1 to 2 years old.  She is also a Nubian Goat
Here is Daisy with BreAnne.  They are very friendly but Daisy seems to like to chew on our clothes the most out of them all.
See they are very friendly.  Natalie wanted a pix of her with her Japanese chicken Annie
Last but not least is the youngest not quite a year old this is LITTLE ONE,  yep that's her name.  She had horns at the time of this pix but they have fallen off since this pix.  She too is a pure French Alpine Goat.
And that's our herd.  We been busy with other things to but none of the other things are marked with photos.  Thanks for reading I will hopefully be blogging more real soon!!
